Thoughts My Very First Post...

Here it is… Finally… After being on my ‘todo’ list for ever and ever, I’ve finally “create[d] a website” (said very loosely, as I’ve just installed WordPress and will be modifying the theme) and “put something on it” (the ‘something’ being this innocent little first post).

I haven’t decided whether this is an accomplishment that I should be proud of in some small way, or whether this is one of those accomplishments that should have been done so long ago that all potential pride has been taken away. I’m tending towards the latter ONLY because it was so easy. On the plus side, getting this little barrier out-of-the-way opens up the opportunity to do web-oriented things which WILL leave me with a sense of pride.

I don’t quite know what those are just yet, but I have some ideas brewing up a storm in the back of my mind.

I also don’t really know what this site will be about just yet. I’m not an emotional person, so this isn’t a personal diary, that’s for sure. I’m a very technical guy and I do spend a lot of time trying to learn new things (primarily related to computers, programming languages, and other types of software, etc…), so this could be a good place to store random tidbits of information that I tend to discover and then rapidly forget, only to require them again later.

Maybe this would also be a good place to jot down some notes about my new projects, my trials and tribulations, and any associated learning curve information - in the hopes that someone else stumbles across them and what I’ve learned might help them in some way. Or maybe I could write about the travelling I’ve done… Or maybe about my current and earlier cooking experiments… Or maybe about productivity techniques I’m trying…

Or… maybe the best idea is to just keep writing and see what happens…
